Youth Association for Development Research Report

9 April 2019
The Youth Association for Development, a GAAMAC’s partner based in Pakistan, recently released a research report as part of its Women, Peace and Security Project. The project fosters women’s engagement through a “4Ps” framework - Peace, Promotion, Prevention, Protection - to help mitigate atrocities.

This document summarizes the outcomes of the research conducted by YAD in the area of Quetta in the Province of Baluchistan, under the N-Peace Network Youth Lead Initiative 2018.

The research looks into the high levels of violence and insecurity that prevail in the Province of Baluchistan, focusing on the impact that conflicts have on women and addressing the question how to provide opportunities for women and girls to participate in the peace and security agenda. The document also tackles the issues of hate speech and youth radicalization.
